چکیده
ABSTRACT The semi-arid region of northeastern Brazil is characterized by irregular precipitation and high evapotranspiration, with a common occurrence water sources concentration salts. In this context, study aimed to evaluate the post-harvest fruit quality grafted guava cv. Paluma under brackish irrigation foliar application salicylic acid. experiment was conducted greenhouse conditions in Campina Grande, PB, Brazil, randomized block design, adopting 2 × 4 factorial scheme, corresponding two levels electrical conductivity - ECw (0.6 3.2 dS m-1) four concentrations acid (0, 1.2, 2.4, 3.6 mM), three replicates. Electrical 0.6 m-1 2.4 mM resulted higher reducing sugars soluble solids. Salicylic from promoted increments ascorbic at 1.9 1.5 increased titratable acidity total sugars, respectively, pulp irrigated m-1. hydrogen potential acid, ranging 1.2 mM, regardless water.

Water and soil salinity on environmental agents limit plant growth and its productivity in Iran. In order to reduce the adverse effects of salinity on plants, different compounds are used. In this study, the effects of salicylic acid and potassium silicate were investigated on wheat plants under salt stress. A factorial experiment in a randomized complete block was conducted by applying 100 mM ...

Cut gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) flowers are sensitive to microbial contamination and have short vase life. The effect of salicylic acid, citric acid and ascorbic acid (50, 100 and 200 mg l-1) was evaluated on vase life of gerbera flowers. Changes in vase life, water absorption, and bacterial population in stem and vase solution, also biochemical characteristics such as protein concentration, li...
